The introduction of the Thermoplastic polyester elastomer SUNPRENE® TPEE: TPEE is a block copolymer who contains a hard segment of polyester and a soft segment of polyether; wherein the amorphous is formed from the soft segment of polyether and the uncrystallized polyester. Micro-crystals play a role as physical crosslinking points formed from the hard segment of the polyester. Thermoplastic polyester elastomer has the rubber elasticity and strength of engineering plastics. Soft segment gives it flexibility to make it like rubber; hard segment assigns the processing properties which makes it like plastic. Compared with rubber, it has a better processing performance and longer life; and the same high strength characteristics compared to plastic, while the flexibility and dynamic mechanical properties is better. TPEE has high strength, high flexibility, oil resistance, high temperature, radiation, dynamic mechanical properties superior to other properties;

The introduction of High- performance grades of SUNPRENE® TPEE:
SUNPRENE®TPEE are the main product of our company. They exhibit high structural strength, good creep resistance, excellent resilience, impact resistance, bend fatigue resistance, friction resistance, and dimensional stability. In addition, SUNPRENE®TPEE has flexibility at low temperature and keep good performance at elevated temperature. They can resist many industrial chemicals, oils and solvents leading to corrosion.

The guideline of High-performance grades of SUNPRENE®TPEE molding processing:
TPEE exhibits hydrolyzing resistance, then it doesn’t react with water in the air. Because it has a little water absorption ability, we must need to dry them before we process (although the moisture content of TPEE is less than 0.1%, extrusion and molding process is not will have a defect.), for the workpieces perfect.

In acid medium, TPEE will degrade at high temperatures. Therefore, TPEE and acid additives can’t be used simultaneously.
Before the molding process, TPEE must be dried under oven at 100~110 ℃ for 3~5h, and then processed immediately, not to let them cooled and in damp air, or to affect their performance.

Processing technology:
1、Injection molding:barrel temperature should be higher than the melting point of products 5~15 ℃, injecting pressure at 60~80 MPa, mold temperature at 20~50 ℃, injecting in a low speed.

2、Extruded into linear workpieces:when extruded into wire and other workpieces, barrel temperature should be higher than the melting point of products 5~10 ℃, recommended aspect ratio of 24:1, screw in medium-low speed.

High-performance grades of SUNPRENE®TPEE are mainly used for:
Automotive parts:Airbags accessories, after the suitcase lock assembly, door lock assembly, door handle seal ring, vibration plate, silencer gears, pipe closers, plugs, ball-end, windows seat shock, shock chassis, stone chip resistant coating chassis, etc.

Shoemaking: Sole, heel, roller skates or roller skates wheels, etc.

Note:All the series have ROHS reports issued by SGS agency. When the wire rod and so on toughness and fatigue resistance have higher requirements, high temperature materials can partially substitute Teflon as wire rod. The model can be used for injection molding, extrusion molding process.

2、The introduction of modified grades of SUNPRENE®TPEE:
Modifying, blending and bonding.
Good plastic modifier- SUNPRENE®TEPP used to improve the POM(CH4132), PBT/PET(CH7563)such as erosion resistance, cold resistance, etc. The series blend with the PVC (CH4040), and also blend with polyacetal and co-olefin alternating copolymer, with other elastomers, etc. TPEE, PBT, PET, PS, PVC and PC, etc. have excellent adhesion,

Properties and Characteristics
All grades of SUNPRENE® TPEEs are block copolymers consisting of a hard segment of PBT and a soft segment
based on polyether glycols.

The polyether-ester block copolymers, also named polyester rubber, combine the desirable elasticity of rubber and the strength of engineering plastics. The soft segment features it elasticity, and makes it like rubber; the hard segment features it processing capability, and makes it like plastics. Compared with rubber, it has better processing capability and longer service life; compared with engineering plastics, TPEE has higher strength, better flexibility and dynamic
mechanical properties.

The available grades of SUNPRENE® TPEE are grouped into 4 categories by performance:
1.High-performance grades exhibit high structural strength, wide range of hardness, exceptional toughness and resilience; high resistance to creep, abrasion and flex fatigue; flexibility at low temperatures; and good retention of properties at elevated temperatures. In addition, they can resist deterioration from many industrial chemicals, oils and solvents. Service temperature range:-60℃~+180℃, hardness of our TPEE:30~75D.
